PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Ensures the lodge is positioned as the "preferred employer" in the area by maintaining strong community relations with referral agencies to maintain strong applicant flow. • Ensures the training of the management staff in effective recruiting and interviewing techniques using methods such as verbal presentations and written directions to ensure the hiring and retention of qualified and efficient employees. • Communicates, educates and administers the employee benefit program in a timely, accurate manner. • Intermediation with the
insurance and retirement plan administrators, and coordinates and controls all benefit notifications, enrollment, administration and audits. • Ensures employees are developed for utilization to full potential by controlling the implementation, administration, and monitoring of all training programs. • Compliance with all state laws as well as regulations and court rulings that pertain to Human Resources by reviewing current management practices, implementing new procedures and communicating verbally and in writing any new requirements • Provides assistance guidance and counseling to the Lodge Manager, departmental heads and line employees in order to maximize the quality and professionalism of the lodge staff by listening and interpreting concerns and objectives and seeking solutions. • Administers wages and benefits to for accurate and equitable application, analyzing and applying information retrieved from moderately complex reports, manuals, and/or computer systems. • Handles employees. He ensures proper training of employees and that they report to work punctually. He therefore conducts employee performance interviews. • He instructs training classes, analyzes, and reviews current and proposed methods, consults with and make recommendations to the lodge management for improvement. • He conducts the Employee Performance Appraisal Programs and performs timely reviews. • He reads and analyzes evaluations goals, making appropriate appraisal comments with measurable and achievable goals. • Directs and administers employee relations programs and activities such as employee recognition and service award ceremonies, social functions and general lodge meetings to maintain a positive employee relations climate. • He develops, implements, and administers policies and programs related to the management of all lodge personnel to ensure the maintenance of a positive and productive employment environment. He monitors it for fair and consistent application. • He reviews and appraises all personnel changes and paperwork for merit and accuracy. • He approves all required Human Resource forms such as Personnel Authorizations and Employment Requisitions. • He coordinate and/or present training programs such as supervisor development, new team member orientation, train-the-trainer sessions and related training to meet specific departmental needs. • He participates in market competitive wage and benefit surveys. • He conducts exit interviews, tracks trends and complete turnover report in an accurate and timely manner. He registers, analyzes, deregisters staff, and makes recommendations on all union issues. • He processes forms and responds to written and oral inquiries regarding verification of employment, wages, unemployment compensation and worker's compensation claims, in a manner that is consistent, and less liable; SKILLS AND CERTIFICATION: • Degree in Human Resource Management/Business Administration • Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. • Additional Training in Labor laws/ International Labor Trends • Patient • Communication Skills • Leadership Skills • Negotiation Skills • Listening Skills, and Analytical Skills EXPERIENCE: • Minimum of 7 years working experience
