_MIS Manager at BIMAS in Embu - Kenya Jobs, Careers and Vacancies_ BIMAS, a leading microfinance institution in the country seeks to recruit capable and result oriented individuals to fill the following positions. *MIS MANAGER* *About the Job:-* BIMAS is looking for a MIS manager. S/he will be responsible for entire functioning of MIS and IT department of the organization. *Tasks and Responsibilities:* * Strengthen internal controls and systems by bringing industry best practices; * Chart robust policies and standard operating procedures on methods of accessing information; * Manage technology, automate and integrate the various existing systems; * Evaluate and develop an integrated management information system/ IT strategy for the organization across all three layers tactical, operational and executive level as per the changing needs; * Set quality control protocols for reporting and ensure they are met; * Manage and analyze data to ensure that MIS data is accurate and robust. Ensure that reports are accessible and to all stakeholders; * Ensure that MIS service level agreements are set and reviewed annually; * Liaise with the relevant parties to ensure that the software is managed and maintained effectively; * Set security systems and ensure the same; * Advise staff on methods of accessing information and provide in-house training for staff in the use of MIS systems and other computerized systems as appropriate; * Increasing resource utilization efficiency in the department; * Estimate resource needs in the department; * Any such additional responsibility pertaining to MIS or IT. *Qualifications:* * Relevant Post Graduate qualification; * Technical expertise in information technology, systems development, DBMS, RDBMS not limited to SQL, Access, FoxPro, Oracle. Cloud Computing experience would be added advantage; * Ability to groom existing systems/processes by bringing in industry best practices; * Demonstrated ability of leading key business functions; * Adaptability to a socio-commercial culture; * Ability to provide strategic insights and execute them; * Experience in website development and management; * Ability to manage several projects at once. * Must have 3 years experience at management level * Those with experience in the financial sector will have an added advantage Qualified candidates should send their application letters stating their work experience and expected salary with copies of their CVs with at least three referees, academic certificates and phone contacts to the following address not later than 5th February 2013 through the following email address:- NB) Applications without salary expectations will not be considered.
