_Camp Manager at Kananga River Camp in Maasai Mara, Narok - Kenya Jobs, Careers and Vacancies_ *CAMP MANAGER* Kananga River Camp in the Talek area of the Masai Mara has a vacancy available for the position of Camp Manager. The role requires somebody who is a good communicator and able to converse fluently in English and Swahili as you will be liasing face to face with clients regularly. You will be required to undertake the day to day running and continuing construction of the camp as well as overseeing 10+ staff members. Applicants should be computer literate including Microsoft Excel as you will be required to keep in regular communication with the East Africa General Manager in Arusha and to maintain accurate camp accounts. Candidates should be prepared to live for long periods in an isolated area of the National Reserve. Previous experience of managing a camp or proven experience of past business and people management preferred. Applicants should possess the following skills: * Strong leadership * Excellent command of English * Accounting and a sound knowledge of excel and email with good attention to detail. * ‘Hands-on’ approach with effective problem solving skills * Motivator Camp presentation always of a high standard including meals presented to clients, ensuring stock levels of camp and auditing system in place. Hosting groups of up to 50 people at any time, the Manager needs to be able to articulately deal with clients, tour guides and staff and handle any situation effectively. An attractive package available for the successful candidate must be available for immediate commencement. Interviews will commence this weekend, Saturday 8th December 2012 in Nairobi.
