Job description _Product Manager - Cloud and Data Center Services at Safaricom in Nairobi - Kenya Jobs, Careers and Vacancies_ We are pleased to announce the following vacancy within Enterprise Strategic Business Unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below: *PRODUCT MANAGER - CLOUD AND DATA CENTER SERVICES* _Ref: ESBU_ PM-CDCS_NOV_2012_ Reporting to the Senior Manager-Cloud and Managed Services, the job holder will be responsible for propositions development, packaging, and go-to-market (GTM) activities in support of Safaricom Business cloud and data centre services strategy in the Enterprise Business Unit. *Key Responsibilities* * Develop and deliver the strategy and roadmap for the cloud and data centre services products portfolio; * Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers; * Coordinate launch of new products and services with the marketing team and ensure successful go-to-market and deployment for each product; * Research and present product analytics and commercial information to ensure product success in the marketplace; * Understand and influence development of business processes and IT system interaction to support the intended customer journey for Cloud and Data Centre products portfolio; * Lead and drive definition of in-depth product strategies that outlines the positioning, pricing and communication plans to support the go-to-market for Cloud and Data Centre propositions and offers; * Track customer and market needs as articulated by Sales and other customer feedback channels; * Own product requirements and work with cross-functional product development teams to refine product requirement specifications; * Assess custom product implementation requests; * Develop and own capacity building and training plans for all product stakeholders including sales teams, customer support teams, product training teams and channel partners. *Minimum Requirements* * Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university preferably in Marketing and Sales; * Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. * At least 4 years experience in Marketing Technical solutions, preferably in a Telecoms environment; * Experience in ICT projects management. Certification by a recognized professional body will be an added advantage; * Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods; * Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with good listening and critical reasoning skills.
