Job description	_Travel Consultant at Mantra Marketing and Travel in Mombasa - Kenya Jobs, Careers and Vacancies_ *TRAVEL CONSULTANT* We are an IATA accredited Travel Agent based in Mombasa. Having a diverse mix of clients, we arrange worldwide travel, safaris, tours, holiday packages, car hire and hotel bookings. We are in the process of recruiting an experienced travel consultant to join our team. *Profile:* We are looking for a focused and forward thinking team player with career aspiration for the future as the company continues to build on their previous success. As a trained and experienced travel consultant, your main areas of responsibility will include:- * Working on a variety of existing key and new accounts. * Providing the highest levels of service to clients whilst working with the Galileo reservation and ticketing system which will include refunds and reissues. * Promote and sell leisure and holiday travel products. * Build relationship/rapport with corporate clients for repeated business. * Meeting sales targets as set out by the manager. * Dealing with complicated travel itineraries. * Liaising with follow up for hotel bookings, airline ticketing deadlines and other time sensitive tasks. * Performs other relevant duties delegated by the manager. *Qualifications & Experience:* * 2 years of similar experience in a busy office. * Existing knowledge and operation procedures using Galileo. * Diploma in Travel & Tourism / IATA Basic Fares & Ticketing / GDS Certificate. * Operation knowledge using Amadeus is an added advantage. *Skills:* * Amicable and approachable. * Professional. * Detail Oriented. * Ability to work under pressure. * Project Management. * Comprehensive industry knowledge * Customer service * Computer knowledge in email correspondence, word processing and internet web pages. * Interpersonal relationships * Meeting deadlines * Networking * Negotiating * Oral and written communication in English and Kiswahili.
