_Base Logistics/Administration Officer at ACTED in Mandera – Kenya Jobs, Careers and Vacancies_ ACTED is a non-governmental organization whose vocation is to support vulnerable population world wide and to accompany them in building a better future. ACTED was created in 1993, is governed by the French law and has its head quarters in Paris, France. * Department: Logistics/Administration *BASE LOGISTICS/ADMINISTRATION OFFICER* * Contract duration: Six Months * Duty Station: Rhamu- Mandera * Starting Date: September 24, 2012 ACTED Kenya/Somalia is looking for an experienced self driven and a self oriented professional to fill the following post; Reporting to the Project Officer, Logistics/ Adm officer specific duties will include: * Office administration- ensure Human Resource policies are adhered to e.g, all staff to sign time in and out on daily basis, collect all the information required while preparing staff employment contract and send it to HR Officer for contract preparation, * To ensure full compliance of ACTED procurement and supply activities with the guidelines and procedures on procurement implemented by ACTED’s donors, * To perform efficient, transparent and timely procurement of goods and equipment and delivery for ACTED programmes in Kenya and Somalia, * Perform other duties requested by his/her supervisor *Qualifications/Skills Required* * Diploma in Purchases and Supplies Management / Business administration from a recognized Institution * Strong team player of high integrity, pleasant personality, ability to work under least supervision and meet strict deadlines. * Computer literate and with excellent I T Knowledge. * Three years work experience in an NGO. * Strong people management and leadership skills; * Demonstrated experience in overall responsibility and accountability for the logistical management of an organization; * Good public Relations with strong negotiation skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively in English language and Somali language, Swahili and Barana Language, *Application Procedures* Qualified candidates are invited to send their CV, cover letter, academic documents and telephone numbers of three professional referees online to: nairobi.jobs@acted.org or Drop application to RACIDA Offices located in Mandera and Rhamu, Deadline for submission of applications is 9/9/2012 Please note that only qualified shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
