The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) is a statutory body established under the Accountants Act, 2008 for the regulation of the profession of accountancy in Kenya. The Institute is seeking to recruit top notch quality candidates to fill the following positions.
OFFICERS, STANDARDS and PRACTICE MONITORING
Job responsibilities:
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Standards and Assistant Manager, Practice Monitoring respectively, the officers shall assist in fulfilling the respective departmental responsibilities. The Officer, Practice Monitoring shall be expected to assist in conducting reviews of audit firms in Kenya and should have work experience in auditing.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- First degree in Accounting (Minimum Upper Division) from a recognized university
- Currently pursuing CPA qualifications having completed Section 4.
Experience
- Minimum 2 year relevant experience in accounting and/or auditing.
- Knowledge of various International Financial Reporting Standards and International Auditing and Assurance Standards
- Must be computer literate and well conversant with current ICT
- Good communication skills
- Good research and analytical skills
