Board of Directors for Mathira Water and Sanitation Company are seeking to recruit suitably qualified Kenya Citizens to fill the following vacant Posts. Mathira Water and Sanitation Company is a Water Service Provider contracted by Tana Water Services Board to provide water and sanitation services under its licence in Mathira East and Mathira West Districts under the Water Act 2002. To strengthen our team of staff and leadership, we urgently invite applications from highly competent, proactive and self driven individuals to fill the following position within the company.
ASSISTANT TECHNICAL MANAGER (2 posts)
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager
- Supervise installation and replacement of all distribution network extensions
- Ensure that prompt leakage repairs are done expeditiously in accordance with set standards and in the most economical manner.
- Supervise work in the field and ascertain proper usage of materials.
- Assign duties to plumbers and water attendants
- Train and motivate the staff being supervised
Knowledge and Skills
- Higher National Diploma in Water Technology with at least two 2 years experience in operating and maintaining water supply infrastructure
- Applicants with an Ordinary Diploma in Water Technology and at least six (6) years experience in operating and maintaining water supply infrastructure will also be considered.
- Suitable candidate to be highly innovative, team player, a person of proven integrity, self driven and motivated.
- The candidate should be people oriented and have a demonstrated leadership qualities.
