Sustainable Agriculture Community Development Programme (SACDEP – Kenya) is a Development Organisation, with its head office in Thika and working in 12 Counties in Central, Eastern, Coast and Rift Valley Regions of Kenya. SACDEP-Kenya invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyan citizens to fill in the following posts:

PROGRAMME OFFICER – OUTREACH PROJECTS

Responsibilities
The person will be a forward and outward looking person with capacity to establish and handle initiatives that are not necessarily mainstream. Such projects may be initiated by SACDEP or where SACDEP is invited by other partners to implement activities on its behalf as joint initiatives.

Professional qualifications

  • Has a wide view of development strategies as implemented by SACDEP, other NGOs, CBOs or Government.
  • Is very conversant with Principles and Practices of SA at local, regional and International levels.
  • Proven ability to fundraise for new projects.
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree or above in General Agriculture. Certificate in Sustainable Agriculture is an added advantage.
  • 10 years experience working in a similar position with a busy and successful institution.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
