Programme Officer – Agroincome Enhancement at Sustainable Agriculture Community Development Programme (SACDEP – Kenya) in Thika – Kenya Jobs, Careers and Vacancies

Sustainable Agriculture Community Development Programme (SACDEP – Kenya) is a Development Organisation, with its head office in Thika and working in 12 Counties in Central, Eastern, Coast and Rift Valley Regions of Kenya. SACDEP-Kenya invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyan citizens to fill in the following posts:

PROGRAMME OFFICER – AGROINCOME ENHANCEMENT (3 Vacancies)

Responsibilities
The position will require a person who is able to coordinate implementation and development of an Agriculture Value Chain Programme. The person will be linking Small Holder Farmers to Market outlets through Contract Production System. The person should be able to set up a Sustainable Farmers Marketing Liaison site in Thika Town, carry out Resource Mobilisation and Fund Raise to maintain and expand activities under this sub- sector. Reporting to the Programs Manager, the person should have the following qualifications:-

Professional qualifications

• Diploma or BSc. in; Agriculture Marketing, Agribusiness or Agriculture Economics.
• Practical Skills in designing and execution of community based/led Marketing programme.
• 10 years experience working in a Small Holder Marketing programme.
• Knowledge and experience in setting cottage industries will be an added advantage
