PROGRAMME CO-ORDINATOR

We are looking for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to manage the Mara Foundation Entrepreneur Launchpad programme in Kenya, a programme of mentorship and other support for emerging entrepreneurs. You will be in charge of the general administration of the programme and ensuring its success and growth. Other responsibilities will include co-ordinating with potential partners in Kenya, and contributing to Mara Foundation’s external communications. You will also be instrumental in the future growth of Mara Foundation in Kenya and there will opportunities for more responsibility in the future for the right candidate.

Summary of job role

  • Managing Entrepreneur Launchpad programme in Kenya, including:
    1. Soliciting and recruitment of mentors and mentees
    2. Co-ordination of matching event
    3. Ongoing communications with mentors and mentees
    4. Monitoring and evaluation, data collection and collation
    5. Managing Young Entrepreneur Club events and other events
    6. Input into programme expansion and managing new programme areas as needed

  • Co-ordinating with potential partners in Kenya
  • Input into Mara Foundation external communications
  • Timely response to all phone and email communications internally and externally
  • General administration duties, and any other duties as assigned by Director

  • Self-motivated and ambitious, able to produce results without supervision
  • Able to set challenging personal goals and remain motivated despite obstacles
  • Confident in presentation, skilled in negotiation
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Creative, flexible, able to use own initiative to solve problems
  • Excellent written and spoken English

Experience

  • Graduate
  • At least 3 years organisational experience
  • A track-record of leading an event, project or programme of any scale and evidence of its success
