PROCUREMENT OFFICER- PO/6/HRD/2012

Reporting to the Head of Human Resource and Administration, the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:-

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop; implement and review the processes and procedures for procurement in SMEP
  • Undertake the tendering process ¡V evaluation, placement and monitoring and assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors
  • Participate in the negotiation of terms of Service Level Agreement and monitor performance of the suppliers and service providers including payment terms
  • Ensure resources are utilized appropriately and maintain effective cost planning and budgeting
  • Manage stocks and materials by maintaining effective proactive liaison with other departments in order to forecast, plan and source for the required quantity and quality of goods and services according to specifications

Qualifications and experience:

  • University degree and/or post graduate Diploma in Procurement and Supplies
  • Must be computer literate
  • Three (3) years experience in a busy financial institution in the same capacity
  • Member of Institute of Supplies & Management
  • Aged between 30 and 35 years and
  • Be a person of high uncompromising integrity
