Ecolab, is a subsidiary of a multinational corporation and a global leader in water, hygiene, energy technologies and services. In an effort to grow operations in East Africa, the company is seeking to recruit flexible, dynamic and result oriented managers to fill the following positions:-
HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN – EAST AFRICA
This is a management position reporting to the Company Manager. The position holder will be responsible for supply chain
planning, warehousing and distribution and third party manufacturer contract management.
Key responsibilities
- Manage supply chain with low assets.
- Provide high quality products as per customer’s expectations.
- Foster good customer service.
- Ensure supply of products as defined in the annual budget.
- Be accountable for the purchase, import logistics, production, quality and distribution of all products required by the company.
- Ensure that standards of quality and service in inventory and capital equipment are maintained.
- Manage and develop Human Resources in the most optimum manner.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Mathematics, Science, Business or Engineering.
- Five years experience in the specialty chemical, consumer, food/drug or related industries.
- Experience in purchasing, planning, logistics & distribution, warehousing and knowledgeable in financial measures of manufacturing and company performance, including budgeting, standard costing, inventory transactions, distribution costs and financial reports will have an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and leadership skills.
