SALES MANAGER
The Sales Manager will identify, qualify and close business opportunities from all markets for the Company’s products and services. He/She should ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales and revenue. Involves identifying objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short and long-term sales opportunities to achieve company revenue goals and objectives.
Responsibilities include:
- Represent the company in a highly visible environment to Show Management, Association Executives, Exhibitors, Convention Managers, and subcontractors creating goodwill and securing business
- On-site representative
- Targeting and soliciting accounts
- Prospect for new business
- Develop creative proposals and presentation materials including, floor plans, rate sheets, artistic renderings, etc. for presentation to current and potential clients
- Prepare contracts and secure business
- Provide client and capabilities presentations
- Assist with monitoring production of shows to maintain continuity in assuring the highest level of service and quality are achieved
- Develop new ideas to improve current shows to assist in maintaining thecompetitive edge within the industry
- Proactively provide information to clients to assist in securing future business
- Attend local association meetings to provide maximum exposure for the Company; meets with clients
- Maintain current knowledge of the Tradeshow Industry and our competitors.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Hotel/Business Administration, related field or comparable experience
- Three (3+) plus years Sales/Production experience in the Convention Services Industry preferred; Trade show/Convention Industry experience a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Results oriented individual with proven sales success
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing short-term and long term vision and strategy to achieve targeted sales objectives in a fast-paced environment
- Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to develop outstanding relationships with clients and internal team members at all levels of the company.
