KENET is seeking to fill the following positions:
COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
One Position
This position reports to the Executive Director/CEO of KENET and the focal point within the KENET responsible for internal and external communication with stake holders and managing membership and donor relations as necessary. The candidate will also establish/maintain an up-to-date documentation/information centre for publications, press releases and clippings, as well as photographic and audio-visual materials.
Suitable candidates will be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:
- An undergraduate degree in information systems, business IT, Marketing communications, communications or journalism
- At least two years’ experience in corporate communications or marketing or public relations
- Proficiency in computer applications (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and other collaborative tools)
- Ability to research, analyse, evaluate and synthesize information.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Professional qualifications would be an added advantage
- Demonstrated high-ethical and moral standards
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Kiswahili languages
All of the above positions shall be on contract terms of three (3) years which shall be renewable based on performance an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the position will be offered to the successful candidates.
