PROCUREMENT OFFICER I (9 POSTS)

Duties and Responsibilities
A Procurement Officer I will be deployed in a busy High Court station store. Duties and responsibilities will normally involve:-
- Assisting in the implementation of tender committee decisions;
- Efficient management and distribution of stores;
- Disposal of unserviceable and/or other stores as recommended by the Disposal Committee; and
- Supervising, guiding, and training and development of staff working under him/her.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:
- Have a Degree in Commerce (Supplies Management Option)/Business Administration or Economics from a recognized University/Institution;
- Have served in the grade of Procurement Officer II or a comparable position for at least three (3) years;
- Have shown merit, ability and integrity in work performance and results; and
- Be proficient in computer applications.
